He will also appear in Netflix’s STRAIGHT SHOOTER, coming out in 2023 for Haggle Pictures, but we can’t say as what!

On film he is playing Igor in Rob Zombie’s latest telling of THE MUNSTERS for Universal, and also to come out are the Shape Shifter Gwydion in HOLD EXCALIBUR; The Umbrella Man in HEARTSMITH; and Grossman in YOU, working again with Italian director Nicola Abbatangelo at Moolmore Films. For his performance as Dr Huggins in Julius Berg’s THE OWNERS he won the Best Actor Award at Frightfest Film Festival 2021 playing opposite Rita Tushingham in a double act you didn't know you wanted and didn't know could be so evil!

You'll likely also know him as Radagast The Brown in Peter Jackson's THE HOBBIT feature trilogy and The Old Man of Hoy in Netflix's cult series SENSE 8. You may also have caught him in Scotland's first Christmas Rom-Com PERFECT STRANGERS set in the Scottish Highlands.

Other recent screen work includes; the short film BEAUTY which opened at the Alice nella città film festival in Rome recently; the short film THE LAST CONJUROR with Sylvester in the title role; the supernatural film SLUMBER with Maggie Q, and THE CHRISTMAS CANDLE alongside Lesley Manville, Hans Matheson and John Hannah. And on TV:  in Dave's comedy ZAPPED!, the BBC comedy THE CRIMS, and THE FIVE (ISH) DOCTORS REBOOT to celebrate the 50th anniversary. He's also just enjoyed a fun guest role in BBC TV's HOLBY; and filmed a series of five features with Sophie Aldred and Colin Baker for The One Show (not yet transmitted).

On stage he played the Fool to Ian McKellen's KING LEAR for the RSC, and played Christopher in APARTNESS a new multi-media piece in which Sylvester played opposite Linda Marlowe in filmed inserts as a back-drop to a live perofrmance from Eleanor May Blackburn at the Edinburgh Festival & Bloomsbury Theatre (2022).  He also appeared at the Edinburgh Festival in A JOKE with Robert Picardo & John Betts; and as the Narrator in the premiere of new musical LITTLE FIR TREE at Kings Place, London.

He played the title role in the Penny Dreadfuls' production of DON QUIXOTE for BBC Radio, and also joined Strangeness in Space playing the role of Nigel, Sophie's dad ... Sophie played by a certain Sophie Aldred, his companion in DOCTOR WHO.

Sylvester's first grandchild arrived in Thailand - and what better way to go to meet her than on an adventure he's long wanted to undertake - travelling by train from his London home to her home in Thailand!  It took him six weeks, and he kept a Travelogue with photos, videos and anecdotes.  Here are a few shots, and you can find the rest here

These are often booked many months in advance, and sometimes over a year ahead. They are always, therefore, subject to professional and personal commitments nearer the time and although cancellations are never taken lightly, they are sometimes unavoidable if a project comes up that can't work around it.
